We offer a variety of programs to help you prepare for taking the SAT. Sign up for a class, small group or individual sessions to make sure you’re ready for the test.

SAT Class

25:1 Ratio

Whether your student is aiming to raise their SAT score for college admissions or to broaden their scholarship opportunities, Great Lakes Educational Group’s SAT Class can help. In this classroom-sized class, qualified and experienced tutors lead students every step of the way. Setting students up with a preparation strategy for each section of the test, learning the test material, and taking practice tests in a realistic setting are just some of the keys to success covered in this class. Students should expect weekly homework, and will need access to a computer as the class will be taught online.

The SAT Course Includes

  • Official Retired SAT Exams

  • SAT textbooks

  • 21-hour course

  • Qualified Reading/Writing/Language and Math instructors

  • Test-taking strategies

  • Individualized strategies

  • Pacing techniques to finish the exam

Students will need access to a computer as the class will be taught online. Students will receive the weekly Zoom Meeting ID prior to the first session.

SAT Small Group

4:1 Ratio

Whether your student is aiming to raise their SAT score for college admissions or to broaden their scholarship opportunities, Great Lakes Educational Group’s SAT Small Group can help. GLEG’s SAT Small Group provides a more individualized instruction for your student, with no more than 4 students to 1 instructor. Qualified and experienced tutors lead students every step of the way to help them reach their full potential. Setting students up with a preparation strategy for each section of the test, learning the test material, and taking practice tests in a realistic setting are just some of the keys to success covered in this class. Students should expect weekly homework, and will need access to a computer as the class will be taught online.

14 Week Program

This program consists of 14 two-hour virtual sessions supplemented by a series of practice tests and 2-3 hours of homework per session. In individualized tutoring sessions, students will learn powerful test-taking strategies and develop necessary math, science, reading, and English skills. The program is ideal for students looking for comprehensive SAT preparation.

Proven Test-Taking Strategies

We arm you with powerful and up-to-date strategies for all sections of the test. Test-taking strategy is emphasized in sessions and practiced in homework. Our approach makes the test less intimidating and more like a challenging game.

Reading, Writing/Language, Math, and Essay Fundamentals

Receive a thorough grounding in all sections of the SAT: reading, writing/language, math, and essay. The consistent analysis of test and homework assignments allow you and your instructor to monitor your progress and turn your weaknesses into strengths.

Course Materials

All materials associated with our test preparation programs are included. Materials include an SAT course book and retired SAT tests. Homework is an integral part of the program. Typically, you are assigned about two hours of homework per session. The homework gives you an opportunity to practice the skills and test-taking strategies learned in the sessions.
