FAQ's

How do we individualize instruction?

We speak with the family to pinpoint the student's strengths and weaknesses.  Then, as a team, we develop learning goals that the tutor will use to guide instruction.

How do we assess student progress?

Our tutors document the activities that the student completes and their achievement during each session.  Various activities are used to measure progress toward student’s individual goals.

How are the parents informed about student progress?

Our tutors speak to the parent after each session and will review the concepts covered and the progress that the student has made.  Three times a year you will have a parent tutor conference.  During this time the tutor will review the past learning goals and develop new ones with you which will enable your child to continually progress forward.

Will my child have the same tutor?

Absolutely.  Once your child has signed up to come with an academic tutor they will have the same tutor each time they come.

Do I sign a long term contract?

No, you do not sign a long term contract.

How do I register my child for tutoring?

Simply call Great Lakes Educational Group and speak to a director about your child’s strengths and weaknesses.  Together, you will develop your child’s learning goals.
